HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (Section 8) APPLICATION LOTTERY
Housing Choice Voucher Applications Monthly By Lottery to Assist Low-Income Families.
ELKHART HOUSING AUTHORITY WILL DISTRIBUTE 50 (the dates and amount are subject to change)
DUPLICATE ENTRIES WILL BE DISCARDED
ANY ENTRIES BEFORE OR AFTER THE DATE/TIME WILL BE DISCARDED
The Housing Choice Voucher Program will do the application lottery online on the first business day of each month.
A computerized random draw will be completed, and lottery winners will be notified by email (if available).
The lottery will be held from 8 AM to 9 AM on the first business day of the month on our website; www.ehai.org
- Log onto the website and follow the prompts for the "Online Housing Choice Application Lottery". The prompts will only be available from 8-9 AM.
- Only enter the online lottery one time, any duplicate entries will be discarded
- The Agency will not verify lottery winners by phone.
- If you are unable to participate due to a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to fully utilize our program and services, please contact us at 574.295.8392 ext. 233 or 219.
- The HCV program reserves the right to hand out more or less than fifty applications. This will only occur if notice has been posted in the lobby of the Elkhart Housing Authority at least ten (10) days prior to the issue date.
- All applications must be returned by the last BUSINESS Day of the month the application was issued. Applications past this date will not be accepted.
- Only one application to adult or family will be allowed.
- Online lottery will be available on the 1st Business Day of the month between 8-9 AM.
- Applications for lottery winners will be mailed out on the 2nd business day of the month.
